If you're not watching Spartacus: War of the Damned (Starz, Fridays, 9pm EST), you're missing some banging bodies! Don't get me wrong, this is one of the BEST shows on television, thanks in no small part to the incredible writing of Steven DeKnight. But between all the sports I watch and kicking my weekends off with Spartacus, I can't help but notice (read: covet) those athletic bods.

Welcome to my first themed month! February, the second month of project #Relentless, is all about stamina. When I kicked off the year, I noticed that my lungs weren't what they used to be. I spent much of January working on cardio to keep my endurance on par with my strength gains. I've made a big effort to incorporate workouts that have varied times so my body doesn't have a chance to get into a routine. Some days may only be 12 minutes while others are over an hour.

January was not exactly what I'd call successful. I gained 7lbs over the holidays (YIKES!!!) and spent the whole month getting back to where I was. Lesson learned. I blame all the hard work I put into 2012. Wouldn't you do a little celebrating after losing 90lbs?! I know, I know, it's no excuse, and I'm not using it as such. I misbehaved, and I know it. The best part is I know EXACTLY how to right the ship.

This month I'm also going to be refocusing on clean eating. My eating habits didn't get "bad" over the holidays, I was just over-indulgent. That ends now! And with the Australian Open over, I can also get back to NORMAL sleeping habits. No more setting 2:30am alarms! I am a creature of habit, so I find comfort in getting back to a more structured schedule.

I was injured at the beginning of January and sick toward the end. I think poor time management is the culprit. Won't happen this month. Especially if I expect to earn my place amongst the Rebellion ;)

DISCLAIMER
Days in red are my weigh in days. I didn't create any of the routines on this calendar. It's a combination of The Abs Diet, BodyRock.TV/The Daily HiitZuzana Light's ZWOWs, and my cousin's creative genius.

I am in no way, shape, form, or fashion an exercise or diet or nutrition expert. I'm simply sharing with y'all what I'm doing this summer to get in shape. I do not recommend that you attempt anything I'm doing. I do, however, suggest that if you like the routines, look into them for yourselves. And please, consult a doctor before you begin any fitness regimen.

I do not own any rights whatsoever to Spartacus. Just borrowing their character names because of the sheer badassery Steven DeKnight and the rest of the writers. Thanks for bringing the show to life, Starz. I'll miss it terribly come the finale of War of the Damned.
