Day 8 - Non-stop Sweat!

Operation Sweaty Summer could not have been a more appropriate name for this summer venture. I'm sweating through bandanas enough to make Andy Roddick jealous.

Here was today's workout, check out my times!

Sean's Shoulder & Legs Time Trial Weighted Workout - 3 Rounds

Low Jacks Press (45 total)

Single Arm Lateral Raise/Lunge (45 total)

Fireman's Lift x 30 (15 each side - 45 total each side)

Single Arm Press Lunge (15 each side - 45 total each side)

As you can see, that first round completely kicked my ass. For instance, I was reminded that I have no balance. I'm definitely not graceful! For the lunges, after stumbling around the first time through, I used the wall for balance the last two rounds. As you can see, it made a huge difference.

I also modified the Fireman's Lifts. I don't have a sandbag, so I was using a 25lb dumbbell. But putting it all the way down on the ground was too much for me. So I sat it on a knee high stool and continued the move from there.

I was really discouraged after that 11 minute first round. But I used the wall for support and pushed myself to continue.

Was a little out of sorts this morning and forgot to weigh in before I ate breakfast. Will get my weigh in tomorrow. It's really hard no to focus on the numbers on the scale, but in just 7 days, I can already feel changes in my body. I could do better with my eating, but wanted to get a grip on the workout routines first. Building better eating habits will happen next week now that I've got the hang of the exercise part!

Baby steppin' to my end of summer goal. I will reach it, come hell or high water.
